I took this picture from my side yard on 4/9/05 while I was doing yardwork on the first day of our local air show. The next day I decided to bust out the digital SLR and didn't get a single shot that was as good as this one. Sometimes you win some, sometimes you lose some.
Even still, this time, I won :)

Here I took a shot of today's eclipse with a polarized filter over the camera.

Here is a self shadow portrait of myself holding up a slit-hole viewer and projecting today's eclipse onto a white cardboard box. If you zoom in tight enough you can actually make out the partial eclipse!

One of the benefits of owning a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT is that it comes standard with Stow 'n Go seating. This allows me to fold ALL of the seats (except driver and passenger seats) into the floor. Here is a picture of a 4 foot by 8 foot drywall sheet laying flat in my van after I folded down the seats. Coulda used this during hurricane season last year for plywood damnit!
Ahh well :)
Another benefit of Stow 'n Go seating is that we fold down the seats when the dogs ride in the van, and when I unfold them from the stow 'n go compartments they are always clean! Yay! No more dirty dog seats!

When the addition on our house was built they never bothered to raise the foundation and consequently we experience water seeping in during heavy rains. These devices help collect and redirect water away from the house and low-lying foundation. Toby is pictured here giving us moral support :)
